How to practice, in detail
Numbers in the tab are frets; the top line is string 1 (the thinnest).
3 games — pick a game first from the chord or scale practice list (you can also switch on the stage screen). Stars = number of games passed.
- Find notes on the fretboard: Tap the string and fret of each highlighted tab note on the on-screen fretboard, in order. Your time is your record (hints add +3 s). ★
- Play notes on guitar: Turn on the camera and mic, then pick each highlighted note once on your real guitar — the note is checked by sound and you move on. There's no tempo; your time is your record. ★
- Melody rhythm game: When note blocks scroll in at 60 BPM, play each note on your real guitar right on time. On-beat hits score PERFECT·GOOD; 70%+ PERFECT+GOOD passes ★
